[General information]

Service resumed is scheduled more than the first train on Friday, May 16 about driving between Aizu Kawaguchi who postpones driving from February 4 with Daisetsu-Tadami Station.

※ It'll be service resumed between Tadami Line all district.

※ Aizu outfall-a Tadami Station time vicarious execution bus is until Thursday, May 15, and it'll be an end.

With JR Tadami Line

The line of about 135 km of linear full length with which Aizu-wakamatsu Station in Aizuwakamatsu-shi, Fukushima is tied from Koide Station of Niigata Uonuma city. It's possible to enjoy a ravine of the Mt. Gongendo and the Aburuma River which are the land of mystery line of the superb view and are learned about from a car window by the country landscape of the specialty Koshihikari and a folk tale in Uonuma "Yasaburobasa". Turning with the vivid color of the autumn, the collaboration in a ravine and the snow scene like a monochrome ink painting are must-see in particular.

There are also pleasure which wishes for a superb view and Tadami Line together as well as scenery from the car window for Tadami Line. A cameraman visits much from every region of the country in order to take a picture of the superb view.

The spring when a contrast of fresh green, remaining snow and a wild cherry tree is beautiful, the trees in a fresh and green mountain, the summer when deep red snow shed is beautiful and the winter when Tadami Line runs powerfully during the autumn the canyon's beauty of the Suezawa River and the autumnal tints of the grove of beech trees can enjoy and snow in Uonuma where Japan is an eminent heavy snowfall area. The superb view only such each season that case even not once, but how many times feel like taking can taste is charm?

History of JR Tadami Line

That a section of Oshirakawa Station opened to traffic from Koide Station, 1942 (1942). It was done for carrying a mineral with a war and a wood of the Pacific War. It was being charged with the important role as the freight transportation which will be the material used for dam construction, a wood and a mineral, etc. in the postwar and people's living foot in an area along a railway line. After that that it was fully opened from Koide Station to Aizu-wakamatsu Station, 1971 (1971). A private car spread from these days and transportation changed, and it was done. Number 252 of Tadami Line and national highway which runs in parallel and passes opened to traffic in 1973 (1973), but to do winter closing of a border between prefectures section, the winter only transportation is Tadami Line.

The present JR Tadami Line

Niigata Fukushima torrential downpour occurs in 2011 (2011). Tadami Line also suffers damage, between Aizu Kawaguchi-Aizu Oshio, Tadami River, 5th* 6 and 7 suspension bridges were washed away also, a roadbed flowed between Aizu Sakamoto-Aizu Yanaizu, and Aizu-bange-Koide time was interruption. Attention about a ride

Only a ticket from the station to the reach of for 1690 yen up to 100 kilometers (Aizu-miyashita Station) can be bought by a ticket vending machine of Koide Station.
The person who is planning to get off by Aizu-miyashita Station-Aizu-wakamatsu Station pay a fare by the following way, please.

You buy a ticket beforehand at the station with way(1) "green desk".
1690 yen of ticket for (Aizu-miyashita Station) is bought at a way(2) Koide Station ticket vending machine, and the rest is in the train or the manned station, and the way gone on to the last stop is Aizu-wakamatsu Station, and it's settled.

Tadami Line Entire Line will be dictatorial driving from March 16, 2024.

Koide park　/From Koide Station, about 10 minutes on foot
Beautifully, a Dog-tooth violet cherry tree in spring can get a bird's-eye view of the city in a Koide park. Echigo-sanzan is also the scenic area which can be looked around far.

Saifuku-ji Temple (Kaizando)　/They walk after "Mushino, Kamiguchi" bus stop getting off by local bus from Koide Station, about 15 minutes
The Kaizando called "Echigo Nikko" has the carving a master craftsman in Bakumatsu and Unchou Ishikawa handled and the number of the painting and the plaster workmanship. Please enjoy the colorful work with vivid color of the condition in at that time by all means.

Rent-a-cycle in front of the JR Koide Station　
It's an electric assist bicycle, so long distance is also easy. Wouldn't you like to travel while feeling the style of the town and the fragrance of Uonuma?

< the Yabukami (thicket bite) station>

Mt. Gongendo　/By car, about 10 minutes
It's the mountain learned about by reminiscences "Yasaburo old woman" at a mountain which consists of Shimogongen, Kamigongen and 2 peaks. A beech of fresh green, AZUMASHAKUNAGE and Azalea are beautiful, and a remaining snow period is the mountain where a season of the autumnal tints from September to the late fall is also recommended to mountaineering.

Komatsuya near the draft beer /On foot, about 10 minutes
It's the Komatsuya way to stick to way grinding down and grind down a little roughly. I eat soba rather a little thick and respond, and it's enough. "HEGI gou prime" which made one set also recommends soba and noodles!

Uenohara cosmos garden　/They walk for about 10 minutes by car, about 35 minutes

Sweets in recommended Uonuma is also sold to a gift. I was particular about the material, Suites Hotel which feels good lines up. Baumkuchen with rice flour of Koshihikari made in Uonuma "tree in Uonuma" also fits a gift at the inside.

Monozukimura/the near place Gentan /On foot, about 10 minutes
The store where the gathering vertical vegetables, the wild vegetable and the rice which are local season can be bought. One by which it's also charm that a person in a store can enjoy shopping while having a lot of experts in entertaining and people good at talking and chattering happily. Buckweat in a juxtaposed Soba Noodles place uses only the buckwheat produced locally, and is very popular.

Kamiyu Onsen club　/On foot, about 25 minutes
The hot spring where you say that Jin who lives in the vicinage's mountains was entertained. There are open public bath, jacuzzi, sauna and Rotenburo (outdoor bath), and the stay and the one-day visit bathing can be enjoyed. There are also a relaxation room and Waiting Room (eating place), so is fatigue healed and aren't you a good meal enjoyed slowly?

Meguro house　/On foot, about 3 minutes
Residence of the percentage former village headman who could bet and build the time of 5 years designated as national important cultural property. A folk cultural properties house and Meguro house reference library are the residence stance of the medieval warrior, and are established attached to a neighborhood.

Echigo Yukikurakan　/On foot, about 5 minutes
The Tamagawa Syuzo a head of a family in Meguro house designated as important cultural property has started. A Sakagura (sake brewery) tour can be done including the natural refrigerator where snow a heavy snowfall area was used "Yukikura". A food with sake lees of Special Brewed Sake as well as a tasting section is being also sold to inside of the building.

The near place Yoshimiya /On foot, about 3 minutes
The Buckweat which is hit with the good water which is circled by the mountains in Uonuma and gushes richly and the buckwheat flour selected carefully. The states which also used Koshihikari made in Uonuma in Yoshimiya noodles and bowl of rice topped with fried fish and vegetables in other ones, the store which has complete set of the menu.

Aburuma Syokuhinkougyo /On foot, about 3 minutes
The store where the rice cake which was immediately next to the Yoshimiya and was included using glutinous rice of the private cultivation by which a store owner made an effort and brought up "I have KO." is popular. The whole country shipping off is also possible.

Mt. Sumondake(Hokyurei Tozanguchi and Futakuchi Tozanguchi)/ By car, about 20 minutes
Mt. Sumondake, Mt. Hakamadake, it's one of the famous mountain of Echigo which consists of Mitsumine with the Mt. Aokumodake and the Mt. Otake in the highest peak. An alpine plant of HIMESAYURI, NIKKOUKISUGE and SHIRANEAOI is also seen. Echigo-heiya is spread under the eyes, and a view in a famous mountain mountain range such as Mt. Asakusadake and Echigo-sanzan which dominate Sadogashima and the back in the inside charms a mountaineering fan.

Road station Irihirose　/On foot, about 15 minutes
Wild vegetable in spring, summer vegetables, mushroom in autumn and something fresh are jam-packed road station. GOPPOU soba of local specialty and the Koshihikari rice-ball cooked by a bran iron pot are a nonesuch. There is "Kagami-ga-ike Pond" by which goddess's legend is left around here, and the scenery of the entourage is being copied just like Kagami.

Suwa Onsen　/On foot, about 10 minutes
One-day visit Onsen located in a quiet mountain area. An old Rotenburo (outdoor bath) ridge is remodeled to the degree of 2023. An interior public bath, a sauna room and multipurpose Toilet were added, and it was compact Facilities by barrier-free.

Echigo Herb Park Irihirose　/By car, about 10 minutes
You can be circled by various herbs and flowers every season and enjoy a view in Uonuma. Camp, barbecue and a picking experience of a tree climbing and herb are the spot which can enjoy various activity in the nature.

Niigata prefectural Asakusa foot of a mountain ecology museum　/By car, about 20 minutes
Ecology museum using nature abundant in Echigo-sanzan-tadami quasi national park and the Mt. Asakusadake foot of a mountain. Nature, animal observation and trekking can enjoy a forest of a beech and wetlands of a skunk cabbage. A certain area is the chip (jackstraw) pavement which has no steps and is the environment that even a person of a wheelchair can enjoy natural observation. The happy hunting ground spot which can enjoy the colored leaves with the vivid color at the time of colored leaves of the autumn.

Mt. Asakusadake Onsen AsakusayamaBy sou/car, about 12 minutes
It's recommended to the person who would like to be flooded with rather lukewarm hot water slowly lengthily at the few hot spring in the Irihirose area. There are also one-day visit Onsen and lunch business. (Please check the days closed beforehand.)

Tadami Line is the train which runs through a land of mystery. Encounter with the scenery KOSO which got on Tadami Line can see. I'll introduce what kind of scenery can be enjoyed in each area.

< Koide Station-Yabukami station>
Soon after the Koide Station is left, the clear stream of a majestic figure and Uono River where a river is Echigo-sanzan on the right side of the progressing direction per the middle crosses a railway bridge of Uono River, and is seen.
The country landscape of Uonuma Koshihikari and Mt. Gongendo like a Bactrian camel are being seen as a right hand per Yabukami station front.

When I run from the Echigo-hirose Station for about 4 minutes, Mt. Gongendo is seen in the back of the country landscape just before the right hand.
When the snow has disappeared, an excellent cherry tree blooms aside of the railroad track.
< Uonuma-tanaka Station-Echigo-suhara Station>
The updraft section which leaves the Uonuma-tanaka Station, and it's Okurazawa dam in 3-4 minutes, I cross Aburuma River and the railway bridge it takes for parallel.
When looking down upon a river, a waterfowl may be idle.
< Echigo-suhara Station-Kamijo Station>
The mountains in Uonuma can leave and remove a village, and right now, can wish for Echigo-suhara Station behind the open country landscape and front on the right side.
< Irihirose Station-Oshirakawa Station>
Deep red snow shed and a superb view in a ravine leave the Irihirose Station and when I cross a Kakinoki Station trace, appear on the left side.
< Oshirakawa Station-Tadami Station>
The railway bridge which crosses a grove of beech trees and Suezawa River from Oshirakawa Station is appearing one after another. The canyon's beauty can be enjoyed beautifully in particular time of the fresh green leaf and the colored leaves.
When I enter Fukushima , a Tagokura dam is being seen.

The scenery in the car is also a superb view for Tadami Line, with the scenery abundant naturally, Tadami Line, it's seen, one of how to enjoy oneself. I'll introduce what kind of scenery can be enjoyed in each area.

I leave the Koide Station and right now, cross Uono River. You can wish for Echigo-sanzan in Mt. Gongendo and the back on the right side.
< Uonuma-tanaka Station-Echigo-suhara Station>
It's possible to take a picture of the Tadami Line to which I run on the railway bridge from the Okurazawa Waiting Room where it's here along 252 number national highways. A restroom is also in Waiting Room.
< Echigo-suhara Station-Kamijo Station>
Mt. Sumondake is seen in the northeast from Hosono area, and a rape blossom will bloom at time near the Kamijo Station.
< Kamijo Station-Irihirose Station>
You can take a picture of Tadami Line with hawk Matsuyama at the back from number 346 of prefectural highway near the Suwa Onsen. Entourage feel the country landscape is wide, and golden Tanada in autumn is good-looking in particular.
< Irihirose Station-Oshirakawa Station>
The Tadami Line which crosses an arch bridge can think number 252 of national highway to pass Kakinoki snow shed to the Fukushima prefectural side, and when I pass Nanamagari snow shed, Aburuma River and Tadami Line can be enjoyed together.

When autumn comes, but homemade" scarecrow" meet everybody in an area along a railway line. Enjoy where a scarecrow is. Charming sights in the autumn which can be enjoyed in the car of Tadami Line and from outside.
